This Order of Whispers agent has a lot to say to fellow agents.īack in Tarir, the most talkative characters are unsurprisingly the Priory who are having a field day studying the work of the Forgotten and their legacy, namely the Exalted and the City of Tarir itself. Even the Durmand Priory has been infiltrated by Order of Whispers agents, so it’s amusing to speak to the same NPC and get three different conversations depending which of the three orders your character is in. Back in Core Tyria you can go around the cities, talking to everyone you can find as an Order of Whispers agent and find a surprising number of informants. This is fairly typical for the Order of Whispers. If you glide to some of the higher reaches to speak to the Whispers agents, you can get some information off them if your character is also an Order of Whispers agent. Once again the Order your character belongs to makes a difference. You must also look out for an adorable skritt running around the place at breakneck speed, squealing in delight as you make your tour. ArenaNet have put a lot of effort into the city’s ambience and you can talk to various adventurers, Exalted and members of the three Orders. It’s well worth poking around the place to soak up the atmosphere and really get an idea what the place is about. The city of Tarir steals the show in Auric Basin, both in terms of visuals as you step in for the first time to the epic music that accompanies the experience. I have been using "The Mists" as a "no CD hearthstone" since well 3 minutes into playing the game after completing the tutorial for the first time on live.īut yeah either way good info to share for people who don't realize these things wither it be not thinking of trying or wither it be they despise PvP and so never even bothered to go to the Mist even once.Īgain once you either complete or skip the tutorial of the Mists the first time (and only time since once you do it or skip it on one toon you never see it again on any other toon) its easier to use the Mists instead of the WvW que since well there is no que to go to the Mists and the portal to Lions Arch is but 25 yards away from where you portal in at once you have either done or skipped the Mists tutorial.Īlso another thing to point out traveling between waypoints within the capitols cities is free and since the price of travel anywhere leaving the cities is level and distance based you can save a few copper to even at higher levels a few silver just by waypointing to the closest WP inside the city towards where you are wanting to travel and then WPing to your final destination. There is a nifty way around it, using the WvW system for getting around the place.Īll that it requires you to do is queue for a WvW and once in just turn around and pick the Asura Gate to Lion's Arch.
